KOCI
Keewaytinook Okimakanak Community Initiatives (KOCI) was established to build funds and raise awareness with the objective of ensuring sustainability and excellence in the provision of services to each First Nation, including Deer Lake, Fort Severn, Keewaywin, McDowell Lake, North Spirit and Poplar Hill and their members. KOCI supports services in the areas of health, telehealth, education, digital education, economic development, employment assistance, public works, finance and administration and connectivity, telecommunications and the development of community-based broadband applications such as KO Tele-Medicine, the Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS), the KO Research Institute (KORI) and K-Net Services.
An Opportunity to Help
Over the past 20 years, the Chiefs of Keewaytinook Okimakanak have demonstrated wisdom, ingenuity and visionary leadership in the transformation of not only the services provided to their communities but in how they are administered. And now is the time to take another significant step forward. With this step comes the need for financial support from those that share this vision. This is your opportunity to invest in initiatives that will have a significant impact of the northern communities.

Building Toward a Prosperous Future Together
Keewaytinook Okimakanak Community Initiatives was created to build funds and raise awareness with the objective of ensuring sustainability and excellence in the provision of services to each community and their membership.
KO Network of Friends
We are grateful for the tremendous support we receive from donors at all levels. Gifts of all sizes help to advance our mission and are essential in supporting KO so that it can continue to deliver a network of vital services and programs to First Nations in Northwestern Ontario.
However, major gifts can mean major change. And for everyone whose lives are touched by KO every day, change means the opportunity for a better future. KO's Network of Friends gathers together individuals and organizations who are committed to supporting the network of important services and programs provided by KO.
You become a member of Network of Friends with your gift of $1,000 or more. We invite you to join this group of generous individuals, who endorse our vital work and whole-heartedly believe in Building Toward a Prosperous Future.
Continuing Friends Monthly Giving Program
As a monthly donor you are a member of a special group of friends who make a difference through your consistent support, which provides critical, stable funding to sustain the operation and maintenance of KO and enables us to plan ahead. And you can conveniently charge your gift to your credit card or through pre-authorized chequing. As a Continuing Friend, you help KO provide a network of resources devoted to healthy and sustainable community development.
Planned Giving
By remembering KO in your Will, you can build a lasting legacy. Gifts of a specific cash amount, an asset or a percentage of the remaining estate, after you have taken care of your loved ones, are common bequest choices. Your estate and your heirs can realize significant tax advantages while your generosity will sustain our important and ongoing work.
Matching Gifts Program
Many companies have a corporate matching program whereby the company will match the charitable donations of its employees. Please ask if your company has one. Your human resources department may be able to give you an employee matching application form. You could double the impact of your donation.
Gifts of Product and Gifts of Service
Although monetary gifts are essential to our work, there are a number of gifts of product and service that are a great support to KO. These range from the printing of our communications materials to the donation of sports equipment for youth. We will happily share our Wish List with you.
Thank you for caring and for your belief in Building Toward a Prosperous Future!
