📡 K-Net Secures Service Continuity Ahead of Rog 📡 K-Net Secures Service Continuity Ahead of Rogers 3G Shutdown After a series of meetings and negotiations with Rogers Communications, K-Net is proud to announce that we have secured ongoing service for K-Net Mobile customers — even after the nationwide 3G shutdown scheduled for December 31, 2025. ✅ K-Net customers will NOT lose service. They will continue to roam on Rogers’ strengthened 2G network without interruption. ✅ Roaming between K-Net and Tbaytel will continue. There will be no immediate disruption for customers relying on cross-network service. ✅ Future upgrades are underway. K-Net is actively preparing for LTE and VoLTE compatibility to bring faster, more reliable service across northern First Nations. “Through these negotiations, K-Net ensured our communities will remain connected. But long-term, we must keep investing in community-owned infrastructure,” said K-Net. Reliable connectivity is essential for health, safety, education, and everyday life — and K-Net remains committed to ensuring no one is left disconnected. Here’s what this means: ✅ KNET customers will still be able to call, text, and use data in First Nations communities. ⚠️ TBayTel customers will, most likely, no longer have service in these communities after the shutdown. 🔧 Upgrading all sites to support Rogers/TBayTel roaming is part of KNET’s long-term plan, but it requires significant funding and partnership.
