Gov’t Releases $61 million to bring high-speed internet access to more homes in Northwestern Ontario POSTED ON MARCH 8, 2023 BY ADMIN On March 1, 2023 the federal and provincial government announced funding of over $61 million to bring high-speed internet access to more than 16,000 homes in 47 rural Ontario communities and three First Nations communities in Northern Ontario. The funding will be for six projects by Bell Canada, the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre and Keewaytinook Okimakanak.
