📡 K-Net Secures Service Continuity Ahead of Rog 📡 K-Net Secures Service Continuity Ahead of Rogers 3G Shutdown After a series of meetings and negotiations with Rogers Communications, K-Net is proud to announce that we have secured ongoing service for K-Net Mobile customers — even after the nationwide 3G shutdown scheduled for December 31, 2025. ✅ K-Net customers will NOT lose service. They will continue to roam on Rogers’ strengthened 2G network without interruption. ✅ Roaming between K-Net and Tbaytel will continue. There will be no immediate disruption for customers relying on cross-network service. ✅ Future upgrades are underway. K-Net is actively preparing for LTE and VoLTE compatibility to bring faster, more reliable service across northern First Nations. “Through these negotiations, K-Net ensured our communities will remain connected. But long-term, we must keep investing in community-owned infrastructure,” said K-Net. Reliable connectivity is essential for health, safety, education, and everyday life — and K-Net remains committed to ensuring no one is left disconnected. 📱 KNET Cellular Upgrade – What You Need to Kn 📱 KNET Cellular Upgrade – What You Need to Know As Canada’s major carriers phase out 3G, KNET is preparing our network — and our communities — for the future of connectivity. ✅ KNET customers will continue to have service in First Nations, but will need to switch to a new KNET eSIM before December 31, 2025. ✅ TBayTel customers will no longer have coverage in KNET communities after the 3G shutdown unless local equipment is upgraded. ✅ KNET is actively upgrading our core systems and working with funders and First Nations to build faster, more reliable service for the North.
